FROM THE WORKSHOP FOOTAGE

Visual description and bench findings

All four backlight pins at the LCD connector showed OL. The filter read correctly on its circuit side but not on the FPC side, locating the discontinuity. The filter was repaired and the final footage shows the image restored.

Scope of the record

The page uses the technician's word repaired and does not claim a specific replacement operation. Connector readings depend on the test method and reference used at the bench.

The booking description was only the starting point

The iPad came in described as a backlight problem. Testing established that it had no visible image as well as no backlight, so diagnosis continued along the display circuit rather than relying on the original label.

Four open connector readings exposed a discontinuity

Each of the four backlight-related LCD connector pins showed OL. Following the circuit found a valid reading on one side of the filter but not the FPC side, narrowing the interruption to that component path.

The filter was repaired

The repair restored continuity through the affected path before reassembly. The closing footage shows a visible lock screen, directly returning the test to the original no-image complaint.

A dark iPad screen is not one diagnosis

A dark display can involve image generation, backlight production, connector damage, screen failure or power problems. A torch test and circuit measurements help distinguish those routes.
