UK MAIL-IN · Boot faults

iPhone keeps restarting or gets stuck on the Apple logo?

When your iPhone repeatedly starts and stops, you may not be able to reach anything on it. We’ll check whether software, power or a component fault is causing the restart. If your files aren’t backed up, avoid erasing or restoring the phone while considering your options.

£35
Fixed diagnostic charge

The fixed £35 diagnostic covers the assessment described below and both-way UK tracked shipping. If you approve the repair quote, the fee is deducted from that quote. No repair work starts without your approval.

Boot-loop patterns

Do any of these sound familiar? Tell us what you’ve noticed:

  • Apple logo appears, holds, then the phone restarts — repeatedly
  • Logo flashes only briefly before going dark
  • Boots occasionally, then loops again days later
  • Looping began after a drop, liquid exposure, an update or a repair

What interrupts a boot

A component failing under load

Some components pass the initial power-on but fail as the boot ramps demand — the phone resets at the same point every time. Bench current profiling catches this signature.

Storage (NAND) trouble

If the boot stalls reading storage, the phone loops. This is the case where a hasty restore destroys data — we assess before anything is written.

Liquid or drop damage

Corrosion and cracked joints commonly present as boot loops rather than outright death. The loop is the board limping.

A failed update

Software loops exist too — and they are the cheap outcome. Diagnosis confirms software-only before you pay for board work, not after.

What’s included in your £35 assessment.

  • Boot-stage identification: where exactly the phone gives up, measured, not guessed
  • Current profiling through the boot ramp to catch components failing under load
  • A data-first decision path — nothing destructive is attempted before the finding is written
  • A clear verdict: software fix, board repair, or data-recovery-first, with the quote

We’ll send a written report and quote. You can approve, decline or ask for more time — the fee terms are explained in the FAQ.

NEXT STEP

Tell us what’s happening. We’ll help with the next step.

You don’t need the technical name for the problem. Book a £35 assessment, tell us what you’ve noticed, and we’ll explain our findings and the cost before you decide on repair.

iPhone Boot loop repair FAQ

Will my data survive a boot loop repair?

We assess the fault and access requirements before recommending a repair or recovery route. Keeping existing data accessible is a priority, but a boot loop does not establish the condition of every file. Tell us about your backups and select Data recovery if extracting the files is the main goal.

Apple or a shop offered a restore. Should I try it first?

Only if your data is fully backed up. A restore fixes software loops but permanently erases the phone — if the loop was hardware, you lose the data and keep the fault. If the data matters, diagnose first.

It loops only sometimes. Still worth sending in?

Intermittent restarts can arise from software, connected components, power or board faults. Record the pattern and any messages while the device is accessible. If important files are not backed up, avoid erasing or restoring it before discussing recovery.
