Phone still rings, but the screen stays black?
If you can hear your phone but can’t see the screen, it may still be running. We’ll check the display, its connection and the circuitry inside, then explain the repair options for your model.
The fixed £35 diagnostic covers the assessment described below and both-way UK tracked shipping. If you approve the repair quote, the fee is deducted from that quote. No repair work starts without your approval.

Likely causes
Three places a display fault can live
The display panel
Cracked or failed panels are the simple case, on any brand. Diagnosis confirms the panel is the fault before you pay for one — not after.
LCD illumination or OLED power
An LCD illumination fault can sit in the display assembly, connector or board circuitry. OLED pixels emit their own light, so an OLED black screen needs a different diagnostic path.
Board-level image path
Drop damage can crack connector joints or display IC solder. A new screen shows the same black nothing because the board never sends it an image.
Previous repair damage
Connector, flex or board damage during an earlier repair can affect the display. Tell us when the screen stopped working and which parts were previously fitted.

Do you diagnose black-screen faults on Samsung and other Android phones?
We assess supported Apple and Android smartphones, including models from Samsung, Google, OnePlus and Xiaomi. Select your model when booking, or contact support first if it is not listed. Repair viability and parts availability depend on the model and fault.
The phone still rings — is my data safe?
That is usually an encouraging sign because the phone is still running behind the failed display, but it is not a guarantee. Diagnosis confirms whether normal access or a recovery route is appropriate.
I already had the screen replaced and it's still black. Why?
A replacement screen does not rule out a faulty replacement part, connector damage or a board fault. We assess the fitted display and the rest of the display path before proposing further work.
