If the battery keeps falling even with a cable connected, the port may not be the only cause. We’ll check the charging equipment, battery and circuitry inside your supported smartphone before recommending a repair.
The fixed £35 diagnostic covers the assessment described below and both-way UK tracked shipping. If you approve the repair quote, the fee is deducted from that quote. No repair work starts without your approval.

Where charging faults actually live
The port itself
Debris, corrosion or worn pins — the honest cheap fix when it really is the fault, on any phone. Diagnosis confirms it rather than assuming it.
The charging IC
The circuitry involved in USB communication and charging varies by model. A fault here can interrupt charging even when the cable and port appear sound; measurements are needed to identify the failed stage.
Power-path components
Failed capacitors or damaged traces between the port and battery can block or throttle charge current — only bench measurement finds these.
Battery communication
If the phone can't read the battery correctly it may refuse to charge it. The symptom looks like a charging fault; the cause is elsewhere.

Does this service cover Android phones, not just iPhone?
We assess supported Apple and Android smartphones, including models from Samsung, Google, OnePlus and Xiaomi. Select your model when booking, or contact support first if it is not listed. Repair viability and parts availability depend on the model and fault.
How do I know if it's the port or something deeper?
You usually can't from the outside, on any phone. A port that charges at certain angles suggests mechanical wear; refusing all known-good chargers points deeper. Diagnosis measures the path and removes the guesswork.
A cheap charger might be involved. Does that matter?
Tell us which charger and cable were in use when the problem started. That history can help testing, but price or branding alone does not identify the cause of a fault.
