A moisture warning does not always prove liquid is present now
The warning reflects what the port-detection circuit is seeing. Contamination, connector damage or an electrical problem can continue to trigger it even when the outside of the socket appears dry.
The repair focused on the USB-C connector
The affected connector was removed, the solder area prepared and a replacement aligned and fitted. Charging was verified after the repair.
Why repeated drying attempts may not solve it
If a warning persists because the connector or its sensing path is damaged, waiting for evaporation cannot reconstruct the electrical contact. Inspection is appropriate when the message repeatedly returns.
Avoid forcing charging through an unexplained warning
Repeated reconnection or attempting to override a genuine moisture condition can worsen corrosion or damage. Disconnect the cable, allow the device to dry safely and arrange assessment if the warning persists.
