iPad stopped working after a spill?
Liquid can cause problems straight away or after the iPad appears to have recovered. Stop charging it and tell us what happened. We’ll check for damage and explain what may be possible before you decide on any repair.

Why iPads are vulnerable
Liquid ingress
Liquid can reach internal connections through openings or damaged areas. External appearance alone does not establish whether the board has been affected.
Steam and ambient moisture
Moisture exposure is useful history, but it does not establish the cause of a fault by itself. Inspection checks for corrosion and affected connections.
Progressive corrosion
Moisture and residue can damage powered connections. Inspection establishes the affected areas and whether cleaning or component repair is appropriate.
Charging through the damage
Continuing to charge a liquid-exposed iPad drives current through wet circuits. Power off and stop charging until it has been inspected.

iPad Water damage repair FAQ
My iPad was only near steam, never wet. Can that really be the cause?
Mention steam or moisture exposure when booking, but do not assume it caused the fault. Inspection is needed to establish whether there is internal corrosion and how it relates to the symptoms.
The spill was weeks ago and it worked fine until now. Related?
Very likely. Corrosion is progressive — the delay between exposure and failure is normal, and it is why liquid history is one of the most useful things you can tell us at booking.
Can you save the data on a water-damaged iPad?
Recovery may be possible, but an intact storage chip alone does not guarantee access. Device security, encryption, board condition and stable operation also matter. Select Data recovery when booking if the files are your priority; the assessment establishes the route and risks before a recovery quote.
