BENCH TECHNIQUE · TRACK REBUILD

When a tablet USB-C port takes the board pads with it.

Cheap and generic Android tablets often arrive with more than a loose connector: the socket has torn copper connections from the board. This demonstration shows the reconstruction approach used on one such repair.

FROM THE WORKSHOP FOOTAGE

Visual description and bench findings

The port had torn away with board connections. Fresh copper was used to reconstruct the necessary tracks, a replacement connector was fitted and the worked area protected with UV-cure resin. Charging was verified afterward.

Scope of the record

The exact tablet model and individual net names were not retained. This is a workmanship demonstration, not a universal wiring map or a claim that every ripped connector remains repairable.

A connector replacement alone would not reconnect the circuit

Where pads and tracks leave the board with the socket, a new port may have nothing electrically sound to attach to. The missing paths must first be identified and reconstructed.

Copper restored the necessary connections

This repair used fresh copper rather than conductive ink to rebuild the required paths. The reconstruction was arranged before the replacement socket was secured.

UV-cure material protected the worked area

After reconstruction, the worked copper was covered and cured. Protection helps support delicate repairs but does not compensate for poor alignment or missing electrical checks.

The closing check returned to charging

Charging was verified after the work. The record does not preserve the exact reading or USB data test, so those details are not added to the public account.
