Zero watts narrowed the initial complaint
The iPad appeared dead and showed no input on the visible meter. That did not by itself identify the port, but it established a repeatable starting condition for inspection and retesting.
The charging-port flex required soldered board work
On this model the repair was not a plug-in module exchange. The old flex was removed, the connection area cleaned and the replacement aligned and soldered to the board.
The result had two forms of evidence
The later meter reading reached approximately 12.08 watts and the display powered on. Seeing both input power and a successful boot gives more context than a clean-looking connector alone.
Another dead iPad may have a different cause
A failed battery, damaged cable path, display fault or board short can produce overlapping symptoms. Assessment establishes whether the port is actually the failed part before replacement is quoted.
