A dead screen did not identify the failed circuit
The customer-facing symptom was a dead iPad. That observation could also fit a depleted battery, an interrupted connection or a display fault. The recorded investigation moved into the board charging area, rather than treating the lack of response as proof that the tablet was beyond repair.
What was documented under magnification
The edited sequence labels a short-circuit finding and shows work around the charging circuit, including an exposed pad area later in the clip. The workshop description records component-level work. We have retained those observations without inventing resistance values or a specific test procedure that the public sequence does not supply.
How the charger history helps an assessment
Tell us which adapter and cable were in use and whether changing either affected the symptoms. That information helps plan a comparison with suitable equipment. Finding a fault in the charging system does not, by itself, establish that an accessory caused it; that conclusion would need further evidence.

Record whether the device stopped suddenly, gradually ran flat or changed after another repair. Tell us whether there are sounds or signs that it starts behind a dark screen.
