The reported symptom: a percentage that stayed at 1%
The workshop description records the phone as stuck at 1%. That complaint can easily sound like a battery-only problem. It is more useful to establish whether the phone detects the cable, draws input power, stores charge and remains running after unplugging. Those observations describe different parts of the charging process.
The recorded work went beyond the socket
The accompanying repair description records board separation, charging-IC replacement and reballing. The frame above shows the exposed work area under magnification. It illustrates the scale of the board work; it should not be used to identify a failed component on another phone without testing.
What the charging reading establishes
A later frame shows approximately 19.8 watts at the input during that recorded test. It is a single observation with that setup, not a target for every 15 Pro Max. Input power varies with battery state, equipment and device activity. The reel does not provide a complete battery-capacity or reliability test, so those results should not be inferred from it.
